Course Description
First launched in 2006, over 13,000 supply chain professionals in 78 countries have since gained the CSCP. According to the APICS, it “provides you with a mastery of supply chain management best practices and distinguishes you as an industry expert with specialized, high-level knowledge and skills. “moreover teaches you to look at the supply chain from a broad perspective; to view the relations between the areas of planning, sourcing, manufacturing and delivering and see how the overall supply chain integrates.”
Who Should Apply?
To be eligible for the CSCP you must meet one of the following conditions for education and experience:

- 3 years of related business experience or
- Bachelor’s degree or the international equivalent*, or
- CPIM, CLTD or CSCP, CTL, CFPIM, CIRM, SCOR-P, C.P.M., CSM or CPSM designations
APICS defines the international equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree as the level of study that would qualify an individual for a graduate program in the country where the undergraduate degree was earned.

WHAT IS THE EXAM FORMAT & LENGTH?
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) administered at a Prometric testing center.
- 4 hour exam
- The APICS CSCP exam consists of 175 multiple-choice questions (150 operational and 25 pretest). The pretest questions do not contribute to your total score but are necessary for research purposes. These pretest questions are randomly distributed among the scorable items and will be used for statistical purposes only. The pretest items are similar to the scorable items on the test, and candidates will not know which items will be scored and which will not. Candidates should answer all exam questions.
Gain and Maintain Your CSCP
- Candidates are required to maintain their certification every five years. A cycle starts the month the candidate became certified. For example, Date certified: January 10, 2015 Maintenance due date: January 31, 2020
- Seventy-five maintenance points are required for the APICS CSCP designation
- Points are awarded based on the following activity categories: 1. Continuing education (CE) 2. Presentations, publications and educational development (PPED) 3. Service to the supply chain and operations management profession (SSCOMP) 4. Professional membership (PM)
